Character tracer (Tell)

The main character in my book is a boy who is about 14 years old. He’s a nice boy. He’s step father died and it was the golden ring with a picture on his boy who drown in the water. The robber who killed took the golden ring. The main character of the book is a boy who answered the words that the police man asked. One question was where the main caracter was on the time when his step father died. He was out but the police man asked if he was with friends or if he going out by himself. He replied that he went by himself. The main character’s name is not on the book.
